Press Conference: "LEGEND 2. Invasion"
Last Friday Combat Sports Club No 1 hosted a press conference dedicated to the 2nd edition of the LEGEND Fighting Show to be held at the Luzhniki Minor Sports Arena on November 8. The four organizers of the LEGEND, participants of the main fight of the show - Alexander Emelianenko and Mirko "Cro Cop", as well as the Croatian fighter's manager took part in the press conference. The focal point of the conference was the announcement of the Tournament's final date - November 8.
The presentation of the press conference participants was followed by the announcement of the event's fight card. The K-1 bouts will be a surprise again: the Champion's belt will be contended in the semi-final by heavyweighters (up to 95 kg) Zabit Samedov and Melvin Manhoef, and Pavel Zhuravlev will fight with Sahak Parparyan in the other semi-final. Participants of the reserve fight - Agron Preteni and Andrei Stoica - will have a rematch.
In the superfight Alexey "Red Scorpion" Ignashov will meet Badr Hari for the third time to decide whose side will have the 2:1 score to its credit. And Enriko Gogokhia who has recently moved to Combat Sports Club No 1, will meet with Chingiz Allazov in the K-1 superfight.
As for the MMA fights, they had been announced prior to the press conference: Eduard Vartanyan will fight with Florent Betorangal; Alexander Yakovlev will meet with Paul Daley, and the main fight of the night will turn into a rematch of the decade – Alexander Emelianenko will try to get even with Mirco "Cro Cop" Filipovic for his 9 year old defeat.
Ruslan Suleymanov, President of the LEGEND Fighting Show and Combat Sports Club No 1 reassured all those present that Badr Hari's seminar to be held in his Club on October 23 will take place as planned. According to him, the hearings in court on October 10 will not in any way restrict Hari's movements and, in particular, his travelling outside Holland.
Ruslan Suleymanov also gave a preview of the next two editions of the tournament (3rd and 4th): the 3rd edition will feature a middleweight 8 man K-1 tournament with Dzhabar Askerov as the acting Champion taking part in it, and the 4th tournament will feature an 8 man tournament in super heavyweight category.
Tickets will go on sale on September 6 and will be on sale with a 20 per cent discount until the end of the month.
