Warren Stevelmans will replace Enriko Gogokhia at the LEGEND Tournament
Chingiz Allazov (17-0, 1NC, 14 (Т)КО) is training in the famous "Chinuk" club shoulder to shoulder with the K-1 star Zabit Samedov. His last performance was at GLORY 7: Milan where he met with the experienced Marat Grigorian (34-4-1, 1 NC, 19 (Т)КО). Unfortunately, the winner was not identified in the bout: the fight ended in the 1st round after Grigorian's unintentional elbow. Allazov was seriously cut and was unable to continue the fight which was later recognized as "no contest".
Stevelmans, Allazov's opponent, began his career in 2001 and through 2005 had a series of fights without losing a single one. In 2008 he was the victor in К-1 MAX. On the ring he met with fighters like Giorgio Petrosyan, Albert Kraus and Mike Zambidis. At the start of 2011, Stevelmans returned to K-1 MAX in Madrid. He beat two Spanish opponents en route to the final but was unable to win the title. In 2012 at a tournament in Italy he defeated Dzhabar Askerov, who was the winner of the first K-1 Grand Prix at the LEGEND Tournament last May.
As a reminder: Enriko will be unable to take part in the tournament due to an injury which will not let him be properly prepared for the fight.
It is already known now that Gogokhia will become one of the main contenders of the LEGEND's third edition which will be held in early March 2014. The organizers have not disclosed the venue yet, although it is known for a fact that it will not take place in Russia.
Enriko:
Unfortunately, I won't be able to take part, although I did my best to prepare for this fight. I can only say that I'll come back in top shape and will show a spectacular fight no matter who my future opponent is.
Comments from Ruslan Suleymanov, President of the LEGEND Fighting Show:
Enriko will resume training in the end of November and, since the Combat Sports Club No 1 team has more and more professional martial artists, his preparation will be varied and efficient to the maximum. We are planning to help Enriko make it to the level of top world athletes in his weight category already next year.
